I had a Lyme test done, and was told I would get the results after a few days. It has already been a week, and still no call back (even after checking up yesterday, and told the results already came in, but I need to wait until the dr. calls me back). I went to the E.R. yesterday because I had an 8" bullseye rash, fever, chills, and swollen lymph nodes. I was promptly diagnosed with Lyme, and if I hadn't gone to the E.R. I would still not yet be on antibiotics. I won't be getting a call back until at least 1 1/2 weeks after the test (today the office is on vacation) and waited by my phone all day yesterday waiting for the diagnosis, and that's enough time for the Lyme to worsen and the spirochetes to multiply and spread to joints and elsewhere. If they make people wait this long to get results, how many people will end up with more serious conditions such as chronic Lyme?
